I have to start this by saying that I am not a fan of Kevin Samuels. Actually, I’d say that I despise him and just about everything he stands for. Still, we can be honest, even a broken clock is right two times a day, and sometimes he makes valid arguments, though his delivery could definitely use some work. That’s why when I hear arguments attacking his sexuality, I am appalled, and it almost instantly invalidates your argument. Let’s take it from the top of the video, Kevin Samuels is not saying that he wants to live in a world without women; on the contrary, Kevin talks about how to get into relationships that suit you. He is misguided and follows irrelevant rules, but I digress. The argument that he makes is somewhat accurate. If women were to disappear tomorrow, men could survive. Surviving and thriving are not the same thing, but Kevin is saying that they have the technical know-how to keep the world afloat, and they do. Women too have the technological know-how, but the percentage of us who can survive without men is lower. The real issue that needs to be addressed is the why behind the problem. Men aren’t inherently better at survival than women, but they are taught to be. Boys are encouraged to go to school for engineering, and they are thrust into the wild via programs like the Boy Scouts; meanwhile, girls are told they won’t succeed at math and heavy-duty physical tasks. So if in a Thanos-like attack where all men disappear, it would be more difficult for women to survive. And from a numerical standpoint, if half of the population disappears, yes, there will be an abundance of supplies, that’s because HALF OF THE POPULATION IS GONE!!! Like Ewww, why can’t the person he talking with say this. Many of his thought processes are flawed, so let’s move on to the sister.

Uggghhh, I really don’t know where to begin with her. Aside from the shameless plug for the matchmaking services, I really don’t find value in her opinion. Resorting to name-calling and speaking ill of Black men because of the societal situation there in is asinine. I agree that dating a man like Kevin Samuels is an exercise in futility, but her opinion of Black men is equally disgusting. Calling them the n-word and talking about balance sheets and debt is not the goal of the talk. It seems like she is just saying the words for the sake of saying words. And she claims women aren’t gold diggers but is talking about the man’s two dimes. Now, to be fair, I am sure this is not a fair representation of all of her views. This video has been cut and spliced to be more provocative; however, she mentioned the white man having a knee on the neck of Black men. Why is that even relevant? It’s not.

This video is a prime example of what is wrong in our community today. Truth be told, we need each to survive and thrive. Different sides of the same coin, masculine and feminine, good and bad, together we reach the goal. Until we recognize that we need each other, we’ll keep talking past each other and having hurtful and dumb-ass conversations like this.
